Beethoven’s Violin Concerto has been called “one of the most beautiful and beloved of all concertos.” Overflowing with sweetly singing melodies presented against a spectacular orchestral backdrop, this piece offers yet another view into Beethoven’s singular genius. To be recorded live for a forthcoming release, John Adams’ Harmonielehre is a landmark in its own right, a powerhouse showcase for the orchestra that draws equally on 19th century Romanticism and 20th century minimalism to create work celebrated as  “rapturous” and “incandescent” by The New York Times.

The Schermerhorn Symphony Center Box Office opens at 12:00pm on Sunday, October 7. Questions? Email [email protected]
