The Nashville Symphony offers sensory friendly programming and resources for people with autism and other disabilities that cause sensory sensitivities. 

Family Concert Series

Currently, all Family Series concerts are sensory friendly. These concerts include the following: 

  • No shushing
  • Booster seats
  • Raised lighting
  • Flexible seating 
  • Closed captioning
  • Relaxed ticket return policy
  • Kiosk with fidget toys, headphones, social stories and more
  • Quiet spaces in Curb Education Hall and Balcony Lobby alcoves
  • Plus a resource fair in the West Lobby

Visual programs are available for download to help students follow along with the narrative of the performances. Fidget toys, noise-cancelling headphones, and quiet spaces are also available upon request.

  • Enter username NashvilleYPC and password NashvilleYPC
  • Click on “Playlists” on the menu tab
  • Open the “Young People’s Concerts” folder
  • Choose the concert playlist your students are attending
