Chris Kuffner

Chris Kuffner is a bassist, guitarist, writer, producer, mixer, and engineer from New York City recently transplanted to Nashville TN.

Chris's early recording credits include Regina Spektor’s “11:11” and Ingrid Michaelson’s Debut Album “Girls and Boys” which he produced in 2006. Since then Chris has continued to collaborate with Ingrid Michaelson on various recordings and concert appearances as a producer, player or engineer and often serves as her touring musical director and bassist. Their most recent performance together was her 16th Annual Holiday Hop this past December at City Winery in NYC.

In the past few years between touring and recording engagements with artists like "The Midnight" and "A Great Big World" Chris has developed a new set of skills as an instrument builder, designing and building a small batch line of lightweight and ergonomic reinterpretations of classic 1950’s guitars and basses in Fairview TN.

“I am beyond grateful to have shared in the wonder of live music with so many audiences on some of my favorite stages in the world from Carnegie Hall to Red Rocks to Madison Square Garden. I am beyond grateful to be sharing it with you now. Creating, offering and receiving vibrations in a space with folks like yourself is my life’s work and a continual source of joy.”
