Patron Appreciation Concert 2019: More Than the Mountain King
Although a few movements and melodies from Grieg’s Peer Gynt are fully embedded in our collective ear, we rarely have the opportunity to hear much of Grieg’s music beyond his memorable “In the Hall of the Mountain King.” Nashville Symphony Assistant Conductor Enrico Lopez-Yañez has built a program that takes listeners through an hour-long version of Peer Gynt’s tale and Grieg’s music. He will host and narrate between the movements, which are in the original story order.
Tickets to the Patron Appreciation Concert are available, free of charge, to Nashville Symphony Annual Fund donors of $150 or more.
