Nashville, Tenn. (September 15, 2014) – The Nashville Symphony has proudly announced that it will welcome Roger Waters to Music City for the U.S. premiere of his landmark production, Ça Ira, at Schermerhorn Symphony Center January 29-30, 2015.
A classical opera set against the backdrop of the French Revolution, Ça Ira (which loosely translates as “There Is Hope” in French) evokes the passion, faith and madness of a time that forever changed the world. Featuring Waters’ spoken narration, the epic piece is scored for full orchestra, four solo voices, chorus and a children’s chorus. The Nashville Symphony, Nashville Symphony Chorus and Blair Children’s Chorus will perform onstage with Waters.
