Nashville Symphony Announces Free Chamber Music Series Lineup

Five performances will feature Symphony musicians in intimate concert setting

Nashville, Tenn. (August 20, 2018) – The Nashville Symphony has announced the 2018/19 lineup for its popular Chamber Music Series – five free weeknight concerts featuring small ensembles of Symphony musicians performing in an intimate setting in the Schermerhorn’s Laura Turner Concert Hall.

The Chamber Music Series offers music lovers a relaxed and interactive concert experience. Programming is developed by members of the Nashville Symphony, creating a unique evening of music and conversation during which audience members get to know orchestra musicians and learn the history and artistry behind the featured music.

Tickets for all Chamber Music Series events will be available starting at 10 a.m. on the Monday two weeks prior to the performance. Tickets to the first performance in the series will be available at 10 a.m. on August 27 and can be reserved at NashvilleSymphony.org/CMS or via phone at 615.687.6400. Seating is limited to two seats per household, and reservations will be taken on a first come, first served basis.

The Versatility of the Timpani

New Works by Christopher Farrell

Nashville Symphony violist Farrell steps forward as a composer, with two brand-new works that show his creative flair: Sonata for Viola and String Quartet No. 4.

 

The Elliston Trio Plays Dvořák
