Nashville Symphony announces Aegis Sciences Corporation as the Title Sponsor for the Classical Series concerts. The classical series concerts will be renamed the Aegis Sciences Classical Series effective immediately.

“Initially, Aegis Sciences Corporation made a one year commitment as sponsor of the series, but they generously extended that commitment for an additional two years, through the 2015/16 Season.  This commitment to our organization serves as a wonderful example to other companies and individuals who value and support the mission of our Symphony,” says Nashville Symphony CEO and President Alan Valentine.

Aegis Sciences CEO and founder David L. Black says, “Aegis greatly respects the difference the Nashville Symphony makes to the Middle Tennessee quality of life.  We are committed to supporting the symphony talent and management, and are very proud of the partnership we have forged with this great Tennessee treasure.  We have extended our financial commitment to demonstrate our confidence in their ability to deal with today’s challenges and our confidence in their future contributions to our community.”

Founded as a sports anti-doping laboratory at Vanderbilt University, Aegis Sciences Corporation has evolved into a full service forensic toxicology and healthcare sciences company providing drug testing and consulting services to sports organizations, medical examiner systems, crime laboratories, physicians, corporations and other organizations throughout the U.S. and the world.

In addition to the Nashville Symphony Classical Series, Aegis Sciences is a sponsor of the UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team, a U.S. based professional cycling team.  Aegis provides testing and consultation services for the team, designed to promote the benefits of health, wellness and integrity of sport.
