STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) Expeditions are designed through and for Metro Nashville Public Schools, combining arts and sciences through interactive, educational presentations.

MUSIC & THE PHYSICS OF SOUND

Home school families are invited to attend the Nashville Symphony’s STEAM Expedition for grades 4-9! Join members of the Nashville Symphony and local musician & composer Alicia Enstrom for an interactive ensemble performance, featuring an original classical composition and accompanying STEAM-inspired curriculum. Learn the science of how both traditional orchestral instruments and electronic instruments (including a loop pedal and sequencer) create sound and unique compositions.

Please note: ticketing will close on Friday, February 10th at 11:59PM! No walk-ups will be admitted on the morning of the concert.

 

  • Program length is 1 hour maximum
  • Free for students and $10 per adult
  • Home school groups (including private co-ops and tutorials) must register as individual families only, with up to 9 students and 1 to 3 adults for a total of 10 tickets maximum.
  • For security reasons, adult tickets will NOT be available for purchase on the morning of the concert. Ticket sales will close TWO WEEKS in advance of each concert.
  • All public and private school group reservations are booked at this time. BUS PARKING & UNLOADING IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE
