Lifelong Listeners – Programs for Senior Citizens

The mission of the Nashville Symphony's Lifelong Listeners program is to improve the quality of life for senior citizens in Middle Tennessee by encouraging participants to experience cultural life, build social support networks through volunteerism, and promote a lifelong love of music.

The Lifelong Listeners program partners with organizations that serve senior citizens. Participating organizations have access to the following:

  • Registration for up to two Curb Open Dress Rehearsals per concert season. Curb Open Dress Rehearsals are typically held on Thursday or Friday mornings prior to Classical Series concerts.
  • Group reservations for Chamber Music Series performances at Schermerhorn Symphony Center.
  • The opportunity to request a Nashville Symphony ensemble to visit to your community organization (must be scheduled at least 60 days in advance).
  • Information on volunteer training, volunteer opportunities and tours of Schermerhorn Symphony Center.

If you represent an organization that serves senior citizens, you can apply to be a Lifelong Listener organization through our application form. Please remember to provide a description of the population you serve and indicate the status of your organization (i.e., non-profit, for-profit or religious organization).
