Students who are interested in auditioning for Accelerando can complete an application and teacher recommendation below.
Accelerando auditions are held in late February and early March for students interested in joining the program for the following school year.
Students will be asked to prepare repertoire for a 10 minute audition based on their instrument and age. Students will also meet with our Accelerando staff on the audition day so we can get to know you better.
Things to remember for the audition:
- Memorization is encouraged but not required
- An accompanist will not be provided nor is an accompanied audition required
- The auditioning student will be required to provide at least one copy of their chosen repertoire for the panel.
- The auditioning students should be prepared to repeat selections from their audition music and apply feedback and instruction from the panel, if needed
