Bass

Bassist Katherine Munagian joined the Nashville Symphony in 2014. Previously, she held a one-year position with the Oregon Symphony. Kate holds degrees from the University of Minnesota, Rice University and the Colburn School. Before graduation, she served as a substitute musician with the Milwaukee Symphony, the Atlanta Symphony, the San Diego Symphony and the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra. Kate was a fellowship recipient at the Aspen Music Festival for three summers. Her teachers include Peter Lloyd, Tim Pitts, Chris Hanulik, Paul Ellison and Nico Abondolo.
