Jeremy Williams

Jeremy Williams is from Albany, New York. He holds undergraduate degrees in both music and psychology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He went on to study violin at Carnegie Mellon University with Andres Cardenes, where he earned a master’s degree in music. Before joining the Nashville Symphony in 1998, he worked as a freelance musician in dozens of orchestras around the country. He also performs with the chamber groups ALIAS and the Red Springs Ensemble, which he founded in 1999. With other symphony members, he leads a string quartet that performs music education programs for young people in Tennessee schools. He enjoys the outdoors – biking, skiing and hiking with his dog.
