Assistant Principal
Bass
Glen Wanner, a native of Westlake Village in Southern California, joined the Nashville Symphony in 1989 as assistant principal bass. Prior to this, he played with the New World Symphony in Miami, under the baton of Michael Tilson Thomas. Glen holds a master's degree from the New England Conservatory of Music and a bachelor's degree from the University of Southern California. Glen is also on the faculty at Vanderbilt's Blair School of Music. Along with his wife (NSO Assistant Principal Flutist Ann Richards), he has authored two bicycle guides on Tennessee and the Natchez Trace Parkway.
