Saxophonist Branford Marsalis joins the Nashville Symphony for a dynamic program featuring John Williams’ Escapades, a jazzy piece based on the composer’s music for the hit film Catch Me If You Can. Marsalis will also show off his astonishing soprano sax skills on Villa Lobos’ charming and lyrical Fantasia. George Gershwin’s bustling An American in Paris closes the evening with music that captures all the excitement and romance of life in the big city.
