Charles Edward Charlton is a native of Johnson City, TN and holds degrees from Vanderbilt University (Bachelor of Musical Arts, 2003; Master of Music Education 2004). He founded the Nashville State Campus Choir during his time there as Adjunct Lecturer in Music (2004-2006) and served as Assistant Conductor of the Music City Community Chorus from 2006-2009. In addition, Charles has taught voice privately in the Nashville area since 2005, has served as voice specialist for local youth arts workshops and has worked as a voiceover artist for Nashville Public Television.
