Sibelius –  Violin Concerto, First Movement
Berlioz – Symphonie fantastique
Featuring some of Middle Tennessee’s most gifted young musicians, the Curb Youth Symphony joins forces with the Nashville Symphony to perform Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique, a work of genius that sounds every bit as astonishing today as it did two centuries ago. 2017 Curb Concerto Competition winner Kaili Wang will perform the opening movement of Sibelius’ Violin Concerto.
 
A joint program of the Blair School of Music and the Nashville Symphony, Curb Youth Symphony is open by audition to local students in 8th through 12th grades. The Side-by-Side Concert is the culmination of their hard work over the past year.
 
Admission is FREE. Seating is general admission, and tickets will be available in the Main Lobby of Schermerhorn Symphony Center starting at 5:30 p.m. on the evening of the performance.
