Jazz vocalist Cassandra Wilson comes to the Schermerhorn for an evening celebrating “Lady Day.” Enjoy unforgettable songs like "All of Me," "The Way You Look Tonight," "These Foolish Things," "Strange Fruit" and more. There is no better singer to pay tribute to the music of the legendary Billie Holiday, who was born 100 years ago this month. A two time GRAMMY® winner and Down Beat magazine's Jazz Vocalist of the Year for three consecutive years, Wilson has been hailed as "America's best singer" and "the true heir of Billie Holiday and Sarah Vaughn" by TIME magazine.
"A dream of mine is happening," Wilson says. "I've been in love with Billie Holiday's voice since the moment I heard it, and she has inspired me throughout my career."
