There has been no looking back for the amazingly creative esperanza spalding. After winning the 2011 GRAMMY® Award for Best New Artist, the bassist and singer has gone on to win four more GRAMMYS®, including Best Jazz Vocal in 2020, and to wow audiences all over the world.

esperanza kicks off our 2023/24 Jazz series on September 26 with music from her latest albums—Songwrights Apothecary Lab, 12 Little Spells, and Chamber Music Society—in collaboration with choreographer, dancer, director Antonio Brown and his company. As an extension of her research on and co-exploration of music-dance possibilities with elders, musicians, and dancers, audiences can also expect what esperanza calls “TBICC,” or “to-be-improvisational-co-composed" pieces.

Presented without the Nashville Symphony.

Please note that this event has a nine-ticket limit per household. For groups of ten or more, please submit our group inquiry form and we’ll contact you for assistance.
