conductor/violin | Enrico Lopez-Yañez, conductor

Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg makes her first appearance with the Nashville Symphony since 2000, when she performed with the orchestra at Carnegie Hall. This first half of eclectic program includes music from contemporary American composers Ellen Taffe Zwilich and Philip Glass, led by assistant conductor Enrico Lopez-Yañez. For the second half, Salerno-Sonnenberg will double as soloist and conductor on music from Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons and tango master Astor Piazzolla’s The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires, a modern Argentinean take on this classic music.

This concert is supported in part by a grant from the Women’s Philharmonic Advocacy, a nonprofit organization dedicated to leveling the playing field for women in classical music, especially composers.

The Box Office will open three hours prior to the concert. Please call 615.687.6400 or email with questions.
