Giancarlo Guerrero, conductor | Augustin Hadelich, violin

Take a tour of Scotland in Mendelssohn's brilliant Third Symphony, inspired by a visit the young composer took to the castle where Mary Queen of Scots once lived. Soloist Augustin Hadelich joins your Nashville Symphony for Shostakovich’s Violin Concerto No. 1, a musical tour-de-force that will showcase this GRAMMY-winning artist's breathtaking skill and musicianship.

Come early and learn more about the music at our Classical Conversations with Maestro Giancarlo Guerrero, taking place one hour before the concert in the Balcony Lobby.

Following the concert, Maestro Guerrero will lead an informal Q&A at the back of the concert hall, on the Orchestra Level.
