Ravel – Le Tombeau de Couperin
Leshnoff – Guitar Concerto Live Recording
Ravel – Rapsodie espagnole
PERFORMERS
Nashville Symphony | Giancarlo Guerrero, conductor | Jason Vieaux, guitar
- Enjoy this Spanish/Latin-themed concert, packed with fantastic showcases for the musicians of your Nashville Symphony.
- History in the Making – Virtuoso guitarist Jason Vieaux will perform and record Leshnoff’s Guitar Concerto, a showcase that draws on both classical Spanish guitar and the composer’s own deep Jewish spirituality.
- Ravel is one of the great orchestrators — a composer who knew how to bring out rich colors and textures through his use of instrumentation. Le Tombeau de Couperin is a Baroque-inspired piece for a smaller orchestra, while Rapsodie espagnole is a Spanish-flavored piece that captures the full scope of the orchestra.
