Daniel B. Grossman

Daniel B. Grossman – an 18-year veteran of strategic arts marketing and sales, staff management, and audience development – is thrilled to work as Vice President of Marketing for the Nashville Symphony, Tennessee’s largest nonprofit performing arts organization.

He currently manages an $11 million ticket sales budget and contributes significantly towards institutional strategic planning and implementation. Additionally, he works to educate and engage the board, forecast long-range expenses and revenue, and collaborate with a talented sales and marketing team of 20. Since his coming on board in June 2014, ticket sales revenue has increased 26%. This success is made possible by the partnership of many talented and passionate colleagues both on and off the stage; increasing concert offerings through programming expansion and diversification; and implementing data-driven business strategies that help drive revenue.

Prior to the Nashville Symphony, Daniel worked at State Theatre Regional Arts Center in New Brunswick, NJ, as Vice President of Marketing. Prior to that, he worked at The Community Theatre (now Mayo Center for the Performing Arts) in Morristown, NJ, as Director of Marketing. He also worked for George Street Playhouse in New Brunswick, NJ, as Group Sales and Advertising Manager. He graduated from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, where he earned a Master of Communication and Information Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Theatre.

A tenacious and driven business development and marketing leader, Daniel’s core competencies include traditional, digital, and social arts marketing; audience development; public relations and branding; sales campaign execution; subscription and loyalty marketing; eCommerce, mCommerce, and web enhancement; strategic partnering; contract negotiation; staff management and training; budgeting; data analysis; board relations; and organizational planning.

In his free time, Daniel enjoys spending time with his loving wife Karen, son Jacob, daughter Larissa, and his extended family and friends. He is an avid sports fan who also enjoys volunteering, exercising, and cooking.
