On-Call Server (Part Time)

Reports To: Banquet Captain, Food and Beverage Manager, and Food and Beverage Supervisor

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the complete set up and service of the banquet rooms under the direction the Banquet Captain, Food and Beverage Manager, and Food and Beverage Supervisor
  • Coordinate with service personnel in pre-meal meetings before each function
  • Greet guests and familiarize them with the food and beverage menus
  • Make recommendations on wine selection with meals
  • Ensure proper timing and service flow of food and beverage to guests and provide table maintenance
  • Act as the point of contact between the guests and the bar and kitchen staff
  • Handle all guest complaints tactfully and to their complete satisfaction
  • Present bills to guests and complete their payment transactions
  • Monitor all public and back of house space to ensure they are kept clean and orderly

Qualifications

  • Minimum of one (1) year related experience
  • Must be able to perform the four (4) basic arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Must be able to work flexible hours (i.e. weekends, evenings, holidays)
  • Must be able to stand or walk for varying lengths of time, sometimes for long periods
  • Must be able to lift and maneuver up to twenty five (25) pounds.
  • Must be committed to excellent customer service
  • Must be able to handle a fast-paced environment
